Missouri smart-infrastructure company sells for $1.1B

Aclara Technologies LLC, a maker of smart infrastructure products, is being sold to Connecticut-based Hubbell Inc. for $1.1 billion, the St. Louis Business Journal reports.

St. Louis-based Aclara will become part of Hubbell Power Systems Inc. when the sale closes in the first quarter.

Florida-based investment firm Sun Capital Partners Inc. purchased Aclara for $130 million in 2014. Before that, it was part of St. Louis-based Esco Technologies Inc. (NYSE: ESE)
