Sales sabotage can be create by the salesperson when the first item offered is the one that will pay the highest commission instead of focusing on what will help the buyer or the client. One of the best things to remember as a salesperson is to make sure whatever is offered helps the client out even if the commission is less than something higher priced. Sometimes the presentation will be geared towards selling the higher priced item and the buyer or potential client may feel like a certain item is being presented as the best option.

Remember to put the client and their needs first instead of just trying to make a sale to get paid.

Sales sabotage is a real problem salespeople face and sometimes do not realize they are in the process of losing a sale.
