Milwaukee Public Market Announces Festive Holiday Events
MILWAUKEE, WI – November 29, 2024 – The Milwaukee Public Market is celebrating the holiday season with a lineup of community-centered events and activities. From gingerbread house displays to visits from Santa, the Market invites visitors to enjoy a variety of holiday programming, many of which are free and open to the public.

Small Business Saturday: Brew City Trunk Sale
Date: Saturday, November 30
Time: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Location: Second level of the Milwaukee Public Market
Celebrate Small Business Saturday with the Brew City Trunk Sale, featuring unbeatable deals on Milwaukee merchandise. Shoppers can support local vendors and find unique gifts perfect for the holiday season.
Parade of Gingerbread Houses Presented by MATC
Dates: December 6 – December 12
Location: Palm Garden at the Milwaukee Public Market
Visitors can marvel at a festive display of gingerbread houses crafted by students from the Milwaukee Area Technical College Bakery Program. Guests are encouraged to vote for their favorite creations and place bids to purchase them. Proceeds from the winning bids will benefit MATC.
Charlie Brown Tree Lot
Dates: November 30, December 7, December 14
Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Location: Corner of St. Paul Avenue and Broadway, outside the Milwaukee Public Market
The Charlie Brown Christmas Tree Lot offers wild-harvested Balsam Firs from northern Wisconsin. Trees range in size and style, including classic “Charlie Brown-style” options and fuller natural-growth trees, available while supplies last.
Santa’s Christmas Cavalcade
Dates: December 7 and December 13
Departure Time: 5:15 p.m.
Starting Point: Milwaukee Public Market’s Water Street entrance
In partnership with Milwaukee Downtown, Santa and Mrs. Claus will ride atop a vintage fire truck, accompanied by local singer-songwriter Sarah Fierek performing original holiday tunes. The cavalcade will journey through downtown Milwaukee, passing iconic landmarks such as Pere Marquette Park, Cathedral Square Park, Zeidler Union Square, Catalano Square, and Light the Hoan.
Community Involvement: Non-perishable food donations for the Hunger Task Force will be collected before departure. Donation barrels will be located near the fire truck.
Breakfast with Santa
Date: December 21
Breakfast Time: 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. (Sold Out)
Public Meet & Greet: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Location: Milwaukee Public Market
Families are invited to a festive breakfast with Santa, with proceeds benefiting the Penfield Children’s Center. While the breakfast event is sold out, Santa will be available for photos and holiday wishes from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., open to the general public.
