Ruling against Boeing in Bombardier dispute puts pressure on Embraer deal

The U.S. International Trade Commission on Friday sided with Canadian jet maker Bombardier over Boeing in a hotly contested trade dispute.

The four-member ITC ruled unanimously that Boeing wasn’t materially harmed by Canadian-subsidized low prices that Bombardier offered to Delta Air Lines to secure an order for 75 C Series regional jets.

The ruling nullifies the nearly 300 percent import duties on the C Series that the U.S. Commerce Department recommended following Boeing’s allegation of price-dumping.
