Why Lake St. Louis residents should care

For Lake St. Louis, the bigger question is how repeated heavy rain affects drainage, floodplain rules, and stormwater planning. St. Charles County says flooding is common here and points residents to flood insurance, flood maps, preparedness tools, permits, inspections, and long-term mitigation work.

Lake Saint Louis has its own storm water management program through Public Works, including a 2021-2026 storm water management plan and storm sewer maps. The city also says residents can submit comments or feedback on the program through Public Works.
