Broader security context

The European Union’s broader restrictive-measures framework concerning actions that destabilize Moldova remains in force. A May 11 statement from the Council of the European Union said the measures had been extended through April 29, 2027, and confirmed that Moldova aligned itself with the decision.

That EU measure predates the July 23 travel warning and is broader context rather than a direct response to the advisory. Moldova said it is monitoring conditions and will update its travel guidance as circumstances change.
