The city planned contractor mobilization and preparation work during the week of Feb. 16. Repair and construction work was then expected to continue through August. The project schedule also included a short, temporary opening of the bridge for the Pittsburgh Grand Prix in July, allowing event-related travel to use the crossing during the race weekend.

With work continuing, drivers and people traveling through Oakland may need to account for an active construction project and changing access conditions. The city’s project information does not give a final permanent reopening date. As of Aug. 10, the Panther Hollow Bridge project remained an active city infrastructure development.

The next known step is continued preparation and repair work under the city’s schedule through August 2026. The available project information does not announce that the repairs are complete or that the bridge has permanently reopened.
