Snow Removal Operations and Road Closures in Downtown York
The City of York has announced snow removal operations in the downtown area on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. During this time, North George Street, from King Street to Philadelphia Street, will be closed to traffic.
Traffic Detours
To ensure smooth traffic flow and safety, the following detours will be in effect:
- Northbound Traffic: Detoured from George Street onto East King Street, to Duke Street, to East Philadelphia Street, and back to George Street.
- Southbound Traffic: Detoured from George Street onto West Philadelphia Street, to Pershing Avenue, to West King Street, and back to George Street.
