Casper Housing Authority Hosts Annual Outreach Event

The Casper Housing Authority is hosting Project Homeless Connect today, offering resources and support to the city’s unhoused community. The event will take place at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, located at 306 N Durbin Street, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Services include free haircuts, hot meals, and a Free Store stocked with clothes, shoes, toiletries, and other essentials. Community partners such as the Casper College Adult Learning Center, Casper Area Transit, and the Veterans Administration will be present to provide additional support. Wyo4Kids Initiative Launched in Natrona County

A new community initiative, Wyo4Kids, has officially launched in Natrona County in partnership with the Department of Family Services. The program aims to strengthen families, support children in crisis, and mobilize the community to meet verified needs across the county. DFS caseworkers will identify needs among local families and submit them through Wyo4Kids using the CarePortal platform, connecting families with community resources.

Casper College Volleyball Team to Raise Region IX Banner

The Casper College Volleyball team will officially raise their “Women’s Region IX Northwest Plains District B Champion 2025, 11th Nationals” banner during halftime of the men’s basketball game on Saturday, Jan. 31. The ceremony will take place in the “Swede” Erickson Thunderbird Gymnasium on the Casper College campus. The event is part of a basketball doubleheader, with the Lady Thunderbirds playing against the Central Wyoming College Lady Rustlers at 2 p.m., followed by the T-Bird men facing the Central Wyoming College Rustlers at 4 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase.
