Fire Breaks Out in Miramar Home; No Injuries Reported

Miramar, FL — February 3, 2026 — A heater is believed to have caused a fire in a Miramar home early Monday morning; fortunately, no injuries were reported.

At approximately 3:30 a.m. on Monday, Miramar Fire Rescue responded to a house fire in the 2900 block of Buttonwood Avenue. Upon arrival, crews found an active fire and evacuated all residents from the home. The fire was quickly extinguished, preventing further damage to the structure.

The homeowner, Hansy Aguste, recounted the incident, stating that after turning on the heater for his wife, he noticed smoke and heard explosions moments later. He attempted to extinguish the flames using a garden hose before emergency services arrived. The fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire, but Aguste believes the heater was responsible. No injuries were reported, and no additional structures were affected by the fire.
