Cibolo Daily Brief — Road work updates, city meetings, and what’s next
Street projects move closer to the finish line
Several neighborhood road improvements in Cibolo are nearing important milestones. Crews have largely wrapped up work on Silver Wing, while Town Creek Road is expected to be completed later this month. Construction on Firebird Run remains active and is projected to continue into the spring as part of the city’s voter-approved street rehabilitation package.
City officials continue to remind drivers to expect short-term disruptions in active work zones, especially during weekday hours, as crews finish paving and final striping.
Transportation corridors remain under construction
Larger regional road projects continue to influence travel in and around Cibolo. Work along FM 1518 is progressing through utility upgrades and shared-use path additions, part of a long-term reconstruction effort scheduled to run through 2028. Improvements are designed to increase capacity, enhance safety, and support pedestrian and bike access.
On FM 1103, intermittent lane closures remain possible as crews prepare for future phases of expansion between I-35 and Rodeo Way. Drivers are encouraged to build in extra time during peak commute hours.
City boards meet as February gets underway
Multiple Cibolo advisory boards held meetings this week, including the Board of Adjustment and the Youth Advisory Council on Thursday evening. Earlier in the week, the Parks and Recreation Commission reviewed ongoing projects and seasonal planning.
City Council and related boards are scheduled to meet again next week, continuing discussions on development, infrastructure, and community programming as the city moves deeper into 2026.
Looking ahead
Residents can expect continued construction activity, especially along major corridors, alongside a steady cadence of city meetings throughout February. Updates on agendas and road schedules are typically posted as they become available.
