The building houses a nonprofit that provides food, clothing, furniture and shelter support. Organizers said donations and offers of help began coming in quickly as they assessed damage and started planning how to restore services and replace lost supplies.
Primary Election Day is underway in Raleigh
Voters across Wake County are heading to the polls today for North Carolina’s 2026 primary. Polling places are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and anyone in line by the deadline can still vote.
Election officials have been urging residents to double-check their assigned polling place, bring required identification if applicable, and plan for peak-time lines in the morning and near closing.
