A Tornado Watch was issued Saturday afternoon for parts of Northeast Ohio as strong storms moved through the area. Forecasters warned of damaging wind gusts, heavy downpours and the possibility of brief tornadoes.

The most intense weather was expected between late morning and early evening on March 7. Utility crews and local agencies remained on standby in case of outages or storm damage. Residents were urged to secure outdoor items and monitor local alerts as conditions developed.

International Women’s Day March Draws Crowd Downtown

On Sunday, activists gathered at Market Square Park to mark International Women’s Day with a rally and march through downtown Cleveland. Organizers said the event focused on women’s rights, reproductive access and broader civil rights concerns.

The march was part of a nationwide day of action. After speeches at the park, participants completed a roughly 30-minute march before returning for closing remarks. Organizers described the event as both a celebration and a call to continued civic engagement.

Lottery Jackpot Climbs Past Half-Billion

Meanwhile, lottery excitement is building statewide. The Mega Millions jackpot has climbed to an estimated $533 million ahead of Tuesday night’s drawing after no winner was selected last week.
