Man Seriously Injured in Downtown Shooting
Minneapolis police are investigating a weekend shooting that left a man with life-threatening injuries near the Minneapolis Convention Center.
Officers responded just before 11:40 p.m. Saturday to the 16 E. 15th Street area. They found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound and provided emergency aid before he was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.
Investigators believe the shooting happened outside an apartment building across from the convention center. No arrests have been announced, and police say the suspect may have fled the scene in a vehicle. The investigation remains ongoing.
Gopher Women to Host NCAA Quarterfinal
On the sports front, the University of Minnesota women’s hockey team is preparing to host an NCAA Tournament quarterfinal at home this weekend.
