AAA’s Florida price check dated July 29 listed a statewide average of $3.921 per gallon for regular gasoline and $5.415 for diesel. The regular-gas prices at all three checked Homestead stations were below that statewide average. Diesel was below the Florida average at 1101 N. Flagler Avenue and 13695 SW 288th Street, but above it at 24435 SW 112th Avenue.

AAA’s current Florida figures showed regular gas below the previous day’s $3.942 average but above the week-ago average of $3.906. Diesel was also below the previous day’s $5.427 average, while remaining above the week-ago figure of $5.214. Both fuels were higher than their year-ago Florida averages of $3.056 for regular gasoline and $3.652 for diesel.
