Regular gas varies sharply by station

Way’s Kirkland station listings show regular gasoline at $4.69 per gallon at the Shell on Central Way and $6.00 at the Shell on Juanita Drive. That creates a listed spread of $1.31 per gallon between the low and high ends of the cited stations.

Other listed Kirkland prices include $4.90 at a 76 station, $4.95 at Circle K and $5.29 at Costco. A separate timestamped community listing for the Kirkland Costco reported $4.959 for regular fuel. That figure should not be treated as identical in timing to the other station listings.

Diesel is tracked at the metro level

AAA’s Washington price table dated July 31, 2026, puts the Seattle-Bellevue-Everett metro average at $5.319 per gallon for regular gasoline and $6.311 for diesel. The diesel figure covers the broader metro area; it is not a Kirkland station average.

AAA’s metro table shows regular gasoline easing slightly from $5.321 the previous day to $5.319. Diesel moved up from $6.301 to $6.311 over the same period. Compared with a week earlier, regular gas was up from $5.296 and diesel was up from $6.217.

What the spread means for local fuel buyers

For commuters and households, a $1.31-per-gallon difference can add up quickly, especially when filling a larger vehicle. Comparing several nearby stations may matter more than relying on one citywide number that does not reflect station-by-station variation.

The separate diesel figure matters for contractors, landscapers, delivery drivers, restaurants, maintenance companies and other businesses that operate work trucks, vans or equipment.
