Cedar Park Pump Check: Regular Gas Below Metro Average Aug. 1
A Cedar Park 7-Eleven listed regular gas at $3.379 and diesel at $4.889 on Aug. 1, with both below AAA’s Austin-San Marcos metro averages.
A 7-Eleven at 2901 Brushy Creek Road in Cedar Park was listing regular gasoline at $3.379 per gallon and diesel at $4.889 on Aug. 1, 2026. The station listing said its fuel prices had been updated within 24 hours.
Those figures provide a current station-level reference for Cedar Park, but they are not a citywide average. Prices can differ from one station to another and may change during the day.
Regular gas was below the metro average
The Cedar Park station’s listed regular-gas price was 19.4 cents below AAA’s Aug. 1 Austin-San Marcos metro average of $3.573 per gallon. AAA reported that the metro regular-gas average had fallen 2.4 cents from the previous day and 17.3 cents from a week earlier.
That decline may provide some relief for commuters and households compared with the previous week, although the savings available to any individual driver will depend on the station, payment method, vehicle and amount purchased.
Diesel moved differently
Diesel at the Cedar Park station was listed at $4.889 per gallon, 20.9 cents below AAA’s Austin-San Marcos diesel average of $5.098. Even with that local spread, diesel remained substantially more expensive than regular gasoline.
AAA’s metro diesel average was down 1.9 cents from the previous day but up 16.4 cents from a week earlier. That contrast matters for contractors, delivery fleets, service businesses and other commercial drivers that rely on diesel vehicles: the latest daily movement was lower, but the weekly direction was still higher.
Texas comparison
AAA listed the Texas average at $3.612 per gallon for regular gasoline and $5.038 for diesel on Aug. 1. Those statewide numbers are useful benchmarks, but they do not replace a Cedar Park station check or show what every local driver is paying.
Fuel costs can affect household driving budgets, service-call pricing, delivery expenses, restaurant supply runs and weekend travel plans. Businesses with high-mileage vehicles may feel diesel changes more quickly because fuel is a recurring operating cost across many trips.
Drivers should check the station sign or current listing before filling up, especially when comparing regular gas and diesel separately. Share the highest and lowest pump prices you are seeing around Cedar Park.
