Vadnais Heights mayoral race draws three candidates; five file for two council seats
Vadnais Heights’ July 14-28, 2026 filing period produced contested races for mayor and two at-large City Council seats on the November 3 general-election ballot.
The Minnesota Secretary of State’s current candidate-filing record lists three candidates for mayor: Brian Hendey, Mike Krachmer and Greg Urban. Five candidates are listed for the two council seats: Katherine Doll Kanne, Craig Johnson, Donald Jorgenson, Kelly Jozwowski and Patricia Youker.

The mayoral term is two years. The two council members elected in 2026 will serve four-year terms. The city says those terms begin on the first business day of January 2027.

The city also directs voters to MNVotes tools for precinct, polling-place and sample-ballot information.
The list above reflects the Secretary of State’s current record. The state says candidates who withdraw are removed from the site, so voters should check the official candidate finder again before the November 3 election.
