Tucson downtown shooting suspect held without bond after 10 people were wounded

David Leroy French, the 21-year-old accused in the July 19 downtown Tucson shooting, was ordered held without bond after appearing from a hospital bed on Thursday, July 23.

The shooting occurred near Congress Street and Sixth Avenue and left 10 people wounded, including French, according to Tucson police information reported by KJZZ. Police said an officer shot French after he attempted to flee, and he was taken into custody with life-threatening injuries.
