Jackson police arrest Henderson man in South Jackson indecent-exposure case

Jackson police announced Saturday, August 1, that a 28-year-old Henderson man had been arrested in connection with a reported public-indecency and indecent-exposure incident in South Jackson.

According to the Jackson Police Department statement reported by WBBJ, the incident was reported Wednesday, July 29, in a parking lot in the 1300 block of South Highland Avenue. Police identified the arrested man as Princeton Dotson of Henderson, Tennessee.

Police describe investigation

Police said a woman reported that a man exposed himself and performed a lewd act in public. The reported victim was not identified.

Investigators with the Jackson Police Department’s Special Victims Unit interviewed the reported victim and obtained video evidence, according to police. Investigators later identified Dotson, police said.

Henderson police made arrest

Officers with the Henderson Police Department located and arrested Dotson Friday night, according to the Jackson police statement. He was then transported to the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex and booked on a reported charge of public indecency–indecent exposure.

The arrest and booking are allegations and do not establish guilt. The case remains subject to court proceedings and any later prosecutorial or judicial action.
