Warminster continues Shenandoah Woods cleanup with new demolition and stormwater work

Warminster Township said additional demolition, infrastructure removal and impervious-surface removal were underway in 2026 at the former Shenandoah Woods site, continuing a redevelopment project tied to blight removal, stormwater management and a possible future expansion of the township’s parks system.

The property remains closed during the work. The township has instructed residents to follow posted no-trespassing signs and stay outside the site while demolition and related construction activity continue.

Federal funding helped launch the work

The township said the federal government awarded Warminster $3.4 million for capital projects and that Shenandoah Woods blight removal was identified as a top priority for that funding.

Warminster Township and the Bucks County Redevelopment Authority publicly bid demolition work in 2022. The effort spent $1.964 million that year removing houses and concrete slabs from the property. F.R. Beinke Wrecking was identified as the contractor involved in that work.

The current phase extends beyond the earlier removal of houses and slabs. Township officials said crews were removing additional demolition debris, infrastructure and impervious surfaces in 2026. The work is intended to improve stormwater management and stream recharge at the site.

Park expansion remains a future possibility

The township said the Shenandoah Woods project could eventually add more than 50 acres to Warminster’s parks system. That possibility does not represent an immediate change in public access: the property remains closed while construction and removal work are underway.

The project is being supported through federal, state and local redevelopment funding. The township said additional state funding would support continuation of the work, but it did not identify the amount in its update.

The latest township update was dated June 28, 2026. It did not provide a completion date for the cleanup or a reopening date for Shenandoah Woods. Until the township announces a change, residents should continue to observe the posted restrictions and avoid entering the property.
