Highway 82 lane closures expected Oct. 28–30 for paving

Aspen/Pitkin County Airport expects lane closures on Highway 82 Oct. 28–30, 2026, for paving, according to its Oct. 8 construction update. The dates may change because of weather and construction conditions.

A shoulder closure on Highway 82 near the airport is expected to remain through most of October. Paving is planned for portions of Highway 82, Owl Creek Road, the adjacent trail and the Airport Operations Center parking lot.

The update does not give exact lane-closure locations or daily durations. Motorists and people using the affected road, trail and parking areas may encounter the work.
