Metter schools prepare for Georgia’s bell-to-bell device restrictions
Candler County Schools says Metter High School and Metter College & Career Academy will restrict access to personal communication devices from 7:20 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. during the 2026-27 school year, while HB 1009 sets a December 31, 2026, effective date and a July 1, 2027, outside deadline for grades 9-12.
