South Carolina selected to lead Democrats’ 2028 presidential primary calendar, pending approval
The DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee selected South Carolina to open the proposed 2028 Democratic nominating calendar. The full committee is scheduled to consider the plan in August 2026.
