D.C. Initiative 86 leads in vote to ban force-fed foie gras sales
Washington, D.C.’s Initiative 86 held a wide lead in the Board of Elections’ unofficial citywide count. The proposal to prohibit force-feeding birds and selling products made through that practice received 117,053 yes votes, or 73.31%, compared with 42,615 no votes, or 26.69%.
