Louisiana’s announced $180.9 million Meta recovery will be paid over time, while teen users may see new Facebook and Instagram limits after the required consent judgments take effect.
Idaho’s announced share ranges from $89.2 million to $127.7 million, but the court-filed payment table lists $122.4 million as the maximum of its guaranteed and contingent installments. Court approval and Idaho’s consent judgment are still required.
Vermont would receive $92.7 million from Meta under a proposed settlement that would add new limits and safety controls for users under 18. Court approval is still required, and lawmakers would decide how the money is spent.
New Jersey is guaranteed $545,905,959 under a proposed Meta settlement, paid over 10 years through the attorney general’s office. Additional money is possible, but court approval is still pending.
A proposed Meta settlement could send Minnesota $214.3 million in guaranteed payments and as much as $306.7 million if contingency conditions are met. The agreement would also impose new default safety controls on teen Facebook and Instagram accounts, but nothing is final until a federal judge acts.
Visitors age 17 and younger must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or responsible adult age 21 or older to enter or remain at Finlay Park after 5 p.m., under a City of Columbia measure that began June 21.
