City of Trees Parade and Mardi Gras Festival 2026

The fifth annual City of Trees Parade and Mardi Gras Festival is set for Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Capitol Mall Greens. This nonprofit event showcases Sacramento’s rich diversity and culture, featuring over 1,300 performers from 55 different groups. The festival begins at 3 p.m. with live performances, interactive exhibits, food trucks, local vendors, and a beverage garden. At 5 p.m., the parade rolls down Capitol Mall into Old Sacramento, culminating in an evening parade with light-up art cars from Burning Man. Midtown Farmers Market February Events

The Midtown Farmers Market, located at 20th & K Streets, is celebrating February with special events. On Saturday, February 8, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., enjoy mini previews of “Romeo and Juliet” performed by Sacramento Ballet dancers, followed by music from DJ Sanz. On Saturday, February 15, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., participate in a Self Care Day featuring vendors offering self-care products and a chance to win a gift basket for an at-home spa day. Capitalize: Next Gen Startup Competition

The Sacramento Kings are accepting applications for their eleventh annual Capitalize: Next Gen startup contest, offering local entrepreneurs a chance to gain publicity, receive mentorship, and secure funding. Emerging and early-stage innovators aged 18–30 within a 75-mile radius of Golden 1 Center are eligible to apply.
