Recent Traffic Incidents in Modesto
Modesto has experienced several traffic incidents in the past week. On February 2, a collision with injuries occurred at Scenic Drive and Sunnyside Avenue. Emergency responders were dispatched around 5:11 p.m. to assist those involved. Another accident with injuries was reported later that evening at Enslen Avenue and West Orangeburg Avenue, prompting a response at approximately 7:19 p.m. Additionally, on February 1, a serious crash with a trapped occupant took place at Carver Road and West Briggsmore Avenue, with emergency units arriving around 2:43 p.m. These incidents highlight ongoing traffic safety concerns in the area.
Infrastructure Developments
The City of Modesto has announced several infrastructure projects aimed at improving local roads. Lane closures and delays are expected on Scenic Drive and 9th Street from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, as part of projects slated for completion between February and December 2026, with some work extending into 2027.
