Vacaville’s New Solar Initiative

The City of Vacaville, in partnership with ForeFront Power, has launched a 5-megawatt solar and battery energy storage system at the Easterly Wastewater Treatment Plant. This project aims to generate nearly 8.1 million kilowatt-hours of renewable electricity annually, supporting the city’s commitment to sustainability and operational resilience.

Educational Advancements in Vacaville

The Vacaville Unified School District has entered into a partnership with the California State University system to expand direct admission opportunities for students. This collaboration is expected to provide more pathways for local students to pursue higher education within the CSU system.

Vacaville Cultural Center Library Reopens

After a 15-month renovation, the Vacaville Cultural Center Library reopened in December 2025. The $24.5 million project added 3,600 square feet of new space, including a spacious meeting room, quiet reading area, expanded study zones, and an outdoor courtyard. The renovation also introduced modern interiors, energy-efficient upgrades, and a new bookstore, “Words of Wonder.” The community is invited to explore the enhanced facilities and participate in upcoming programs and events.
