A deadly three-alarm fire tore through a row of homes in the Jordan Heights neighborhood early Sunday morning, leaving one woman dead and several others injured. Fire crews were dispatched shortly after dawn and encountered heavy flames spreading across multiple attached homes.

Police Shooting Under Investigation
Allentown police are investigating a late-night officer-involved shooting that occurred just before 3 a.m. on South Madison Street. Officers were responding to reports of a large fight with possible gunfire when an officer encountered a man holding what appeared to be a handgun.
The man was shot and wounded after failing to comply with commands. Authorities later confirmed the weapon was a replica firearm. He remains hospitalized in stable condition. County detectives are leading the investigation, with findings to be reviewed by the district attorney.
