Main Street is scheduled to be closed again on Monday, February 9, from U.S. 41 to Calumet Avenue between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. for an ongoing electric project. Drivers who use that stretch should plan extra time, follow posted detours, and watch for crews in the work zone.

Lane restrictions also continue on Kennedy Avenue between Main Street and Junction Avenue for long-term gas line work. The daily restrictions run roughly 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and are expected to last into mid-April, so residents may want to consider alternate routes during the busiest parts of the day.

Families capped off the week Friday night with a Great Gatsby themed father–daughter dance at the Schererville Community Center, part of a busy February schedule of parks programming.
