Village Board meets Monday night

The Village Board will hold its next regular meeting on Monday, February 9, at 6:30 p.m. at Village Hall, with the session open to the public for in-person attendance.

Disney On Ice ticket giveaway at Howard Commons

The Howard Commons Activity Complex is planning a Disney On Ice ticket giveaway event on Sunday, February 8, with three prize packages up for grabs for the Frozen & Encanto show at the Resch Center.

Residents are invited to stop by the activity complex during the event window to enter, enjoy the rink atmosphere, and learn more about what’s happening at the Commons this season.

Ice rink season enters its final weeks

The Howard Commons ice rink remains open through February 28, giving families a few more weeks to lace up skates under the pavilion.

Open skating typically runs Thursday and Friday evenings and on weekend afternoons, with skate rentals, helmets, and pads available on-site. Cozy winter igloos can also be reserved in two-hour blocks, offering a warm spot to watch the action on the ice.

February events and election reminders

Looking ahead, the February calendar in Howard includes trivia nights, Friday fish fries, and a special Valentine’s skating session at local facilities, offering a mix of family outings and date-night options close to home.

The village has also posted its 2026 election schedule, noting that while February 17 is the statewide Spring Primary, no primary is required for village races this year.
