Early Friday morning, police responded to a reported water main break on Rosina Drive between Decker Drive and Belvo Road. The call came in before dawn and the affected stretch of road was blocked off while crews checked the damage.

Residents in the immediate area may see low water pressure or temporary disruptions as repairs continue. Drivers should avoid the block if possible and watch for workers and equipment in the neighborhood through the weekend.

Dangerous cold grips the Miami Valley

A recent cold weather advisory has been the big story for the region, with wind chills dipping well below zero at times. Forecasters warn that exposed skin can be at risk of frostbite in a short period, especially during the overnight and early morning hours.

For families planning the week ahead, Plaza Theatre on South Main Street is promoting a budget-friendly showing of the animated film “Ponyo” on Wednesday, February 11, as part of its ongoing family movie series, with $1 admission and doors opening an hour before showtime.
