First responders reported two people suffered moderate injuries in a Saturday evening crash near 98th Street and Chicago Avenue. Eastbound traffic on 98th was diverted for at least 30 minutes while crews worked the scene. Police had not yet shared what caused the wreck.

Senior volunteers recognized for 4,000+ hours of service

Eight Lubbock-area seniors were honored with the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award after logging more than 4,000 hours each in volunteer service.
