City officials held an open-house style public forum Tuesday evening at Eisenhower Intermediate School in Oregon to walk residents through the raw water main project. The city said the session was designed to share details on environmental considerations, how traffic will be maintained during work, and what to expect around easements and real estate issues tied to the corridor.
On the roads: multi-vehicle crash on Alexis
A four-vehicle crash on Alexis Road near Rambo Lane shut down traffic in both directions Tuesday afternoon. Police said there were no serious injuries reported, and the investigation was ongoing as of Tuesday night.
Weather watch: dense fog through midday
Drivers also dealt with thick fog potential into Wednesday morning, with forecasters flagging low visibility and the possibility of slick spots as temperatures hovered near freezing. The highest chance for the densest fog was expected east of I-75, but conditions could spread west as the morning progresses.
Community: kids get hands-on hockey time
On a brighter note, local players brought a hockey skills clinic to the McTigue Boys and Girls Club for kids ages 5 to 12, with stations for passing, shooting, and small games. Organizers emphasized the goal is access: giving kids a low-barrier way to try the sport, even if they do not have skates or equipment.
