SEC Tournament Closes Out Downtown

The 2026 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament wrapped up Sunday at Bridgestone Arena, capping five days of games that drew thousands of fans to downtown Nashville.

Walk of Fame Park hosted the free SEC Party in the Park alongside the tournament, giving families and visitors a place to gather between games with music, food and big-screen watch parties. The annual tournament continues to be a major tourism driver for the city each March, filling hotels and boosting local businesses.

Metro Council Set to Meet Tuesday

The Metropolitan Council will hold its next regular meeting Tuesday, March 17, at the Historic Courthouse downtown.

Agenda items are expected to include zoning matters and budget-related discussions as the city moves deeper into the spring legislative season. Council meetings typically begin in the evening and are open to the public, with opportunities for residents to follow along online.

Transportation Advisory Group Meets Tonight

On Monday at 5 p.m., the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission is scheduled to meet at the Nashville Department of Transportation building on South Fifth Street.

The commission advises city leaders on multimodal safety, greenways and pedestrian access. With continued growth across Davidson County, walkability and bike infrastructure remain key topics for neighborhoods and planners alike.

Broadway Tour Arrives at TPAC

Looking ahead, Back to the Future: The Musical opens Tuesday, March 17, at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. The show runs through March 22 and is part of the venue’s current Broadway season lineup.

The production adds to an already busy spring arts calendar, reinforcing Nashville’s reputation as more than just a country music destination.
