Nashville voters: New early voting sites open July 17; absentee requests due July 27

Early voting opens in Davidson County on Friday, July 17, 2026, giving voters a long window to cast ballots ahead of the Aug. 6, 2026 state and federal primary and county general election cycle.

No early-voting assignments: pick the site that fits your schedule

Nashville’s elections information page says registered Davidson County voters can “choose a convenient location” because there are no assignments for early voting. That means you can plan around work schedules, childcare, commutes, or other priorities and still vote early at a site that’s convenient during the window.

What’s new this year with early voting sites

Local public-media reporting notes Davidson County added new early voting options this year. WPLN describes the additions as including:

• Three added/expanded early voting sites: Scarritt Bennett Center, the new Davidson County Election Commission office, and the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
• A replacement context for Green Hills: Metro replaced the Green Hills Library site (renovations) so voters in that area can instead go to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.

Absentee ballot requests: deadline is Monday, July 27
