Trinidad fuel watch: local regular and diesel prices both tick higher this week

In Trinidad, Texas, regular gas is $2.39 a gallon at Zippy J on State Highway 31 E, and diesel is $2.99. Both are up from last week’s check, when regular was $2.29 and diesel was $2.95.
That still leaves Trinidad well below broader AAA benchmarks. AAA’s Texas average is $4.034 for regular and $5.070 for diesel, while the U.S. average is $4.520 and $5.636. For local drivers, the direction this week is up, even if the absolute price remains lower than the wider market.
For commuters, contractors, delivery drivers, farmers, weekend travelers, restaurants, and other small businesses, the message is simple: a cheap fill-up is still available in town, but repeated trips and work miles get more expensive when both grades move higher.
