Springfield fuel watch: regular under Georgia average, diesel spreads wide
Regular gas
Springfield drivers looking at today’s posted prices have a clear bargain on regular gasoline at Enmarket on Highway 21 South, where unleaded is listed at $3.02. Parker’s on Hwy 21 South lists regular at $3.99.
That puts the local regular-gas spread at 97 cents a gallon. It also leaves both Springfield stations below AAA’s Georgia average of $4.014 and far below the U.S. average of $4.504.
Diesel
Diesel is where the gap gets bigger. Enmarket lists diesel at $3.99, while Parker’s lists diesel at $5.08, a difference of $1.09 a gallon.
For comparison, AAA puts Georgia diesel at $5.113 and the national average at $5.644, while EIA‘s latest U.S. on-highway diesel update shows $5.639. That makes the lower Springfield pump a real savings point for contractors, delivery drivers, farmers, restaurants, and other diesel users.
Why it matters
For commuters and households, the cheapest posted regular price in Springfield is at Enmarket right now. For small businesses and travelers who burn diesel, the station-to-station gap can add up quickly on weekly fill-ups and route miles. Prices can change during the day, so it still pays to compare before you pull in.
