Oak Grove Prep set to open Aug. 6 as Fontana Unified adds a new secondary campus

Fontana families planning for the 2026-27 school year have a new option to weigh: Oak Grove Preparatory Academy is scheduled to open on Aug. 6, 2026 at 5124 Oak Grove Ave. The California Department of Education lists the campus with that opening date, and Fontana Unified says enrollment is already underway for the coming school year.

Fontana Unified describes Oak Grove as a new secondary academy focused on innovation, creativity and future-ready learning. The school’s About Us page says the campus will open in August 2026 at the Fontana address.

The school says students will have pathways in Information and Communication Technologies, Health Science and Medical Technology, and Arts, Media, and Entertainment. The district’s construction page also says the campus will offer CTE options such as medical patient care/front office, cybersecurity, information and communication technologies, and performing arts.

What families should watch next

For parents, the practical question is whether the new campus fits their student and how to register before the first day of school. Fontana Unified says its enrollment center is open all summer long and that the first day of school is Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026.

Oak Grove’s opening gives Fontana another secondary-school option tied to career-connected learning. The key date now is Aug. 6.
