Tulare County launches updated Zoning & Permit Viewer—check your parcel
Tulare County says its updated online Zoning & Permit Viewer launched on July 3, 2026 for unincorporated Tulare County properties. The county designed the GIS-based tool to help residents and property owners check zoning and parcel-linked permit information before contacting county staff.
What changed on July 3, 2026
In its July 3 update, the Resource Management Agency (RMA) said the viewer is an updated public tool that provides improved access to zoning, parcel, land-use, and permit information across unincorporated Tulare County. A key improvement, the county says, is direct integration between zoning maps and real-time permitting information for individual parcels.
What the Zoning & Permit Viewer is (and who it’s for)
This viewer is meant for unincorporated areas—not city jurisdictions. County zoning and permitting rules apply where the county oversees land use, and zoning/approvals can differ once you’re inside city limits.
