Orlando Gas Falls Below $3.85 as Diesel Also Eases, but Yearly Gap Widens

Regular gasoline and diesel both declined in the latest Orlando metro price check, but the year-over-year gap remains substantial for drivers and businesses that depend on fuel.

AAA listed the Orlando metro average at $3.814 per gallon for regular gasoline and $5.386 for diesel on Aug. 1, 2026. Regular gas was down 3.1 cents from the previous day, while diesel fell 1.9 cents.

Regular gas is below $3.85, but still higher than last year

The Orlando regular-gas average was 16.2 cents lower than a week earlier and 3 cents below the month-ago average. Compared with the same period last year, however, the current average was 85.4 cents higher.

The larger concern for diesel users is the annual comparison. At $5.386 per gallon, the latest average was $1.782 above the year-ago average. Diesel users therefore saw modest short-term easing while still facing a much higher cost than they did in 2025.
