Ann Arbor gas prices edge lower Sunday as diesel stays above $5.40

Regular gasoline and diesel prices both edged lower in the Ann Arbor metro on Sunday, August 2, but the small one-day declines did not change the broader pattern: both fuels remained more expensive than they were a week, month and year earlier.

Diesel averaged $5.448 per gallon in the Ann Arbor metro, down 0.3 cents from the previous day. That average was 17.7 cents higher than a week ago, 20 cents higher than a month ago and $1.702 higher than a year ago.
