Erlanger’s Linwood Avenue reconstruction enters bid phase as city advances broader street work

Erlanger has opened the bidding process for the Linwood Avenue Street Reconstruction and Sidewalk Project, adding another street and pedestrian-improvement project to the city’s capital work. The city published a legal advertisement for the project on July 2, 2026.

Bids are due July 16, according to Erlanger’s procurement listing. The notice marks a move toward selecting a contractor, but it does not mean construction has started. The city has not announced a winning bidder, project cost or construction schedule for Linwood Avenue.

Part of broader public-works activity

Erlanger is also managing other capital projects. The city’s May public-works report described ongoing work on Narrows Road, including sidewalk construction, full-depth street repairs, storm-sewer work and a later asphalt layer. The report also discussed progress on the Locust Street project.

That report described two planned Narrows Road closures, including one expected to last about two weeks. Those closures concern Narrows Road and are separate from the Linwood Avenue procurement. The next known step for Linwood Avenue is the July 16 bid deadline; later contract or project decisions may appear in the city’s council agendas and minutes.
