Nazareth council approves zoning change aimed at former Kraemer Textiles site

Nazareth Borough Council voted 6-3 on July 6, 2026, to extend the borough’s General Commercial District along the east side of Main Street between Prospect and Park streets.

The zoning change covers the long-vacant former Kraemer Textiles property and removes a land-use barrier for potential redevelopment in central Nazareth. It allows a prospective developer to prepare formal redevelopment plans, but the council did not approve a land-development plan with the vote.
