PennDOT lists Route 209/115 Brodheadsville intersection project as active
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation lists an intersection improvement project as active at two busy Brodheadsville-area locations: the US 209/PA 115 intersection and the US 209/Pleasant Valley Lane/Pleasant Valley School District entrance intersection.
Project 88935, titled “209/115 Int. Imp – Phase2,” covers about 1.52 miles along State Route 209 from Brodheadsville to Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. The planned work includes a roundabout at each intersection, widening and reconstruction of the SR 209 and SR 115 approaches, and pedestrian accommodations at selected locations.
What residents should know
The intersections serve local businesses, residents and traffic entering the Pleasant Valley school campus. If work zones or traffic controls change, commuters and school traffic could encounter delays, altered access or changes to pedestrian routes. PennDOT’s listing does not provide a current construction phase, completion date or traffic-control pattern.
The next known step is continued implementation under PennDOT’s active project status. The agency identifies PennDOT as the project sponsor and intersection improvement as the primary improvement type; the listing does not establish whether physical construction is occurring on Aug. 8, 2026.
