BLS schedules July employment report for Aug. 7 as June remains latest displayed data

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has scheduled the Employment Situation report for July 2026 for Friday, Aug. 7, at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. The monthly report provides the federal government’s main national measures of employment, unemployment and worker pay.

The BLS Employment Situation archive currently lists 2026 releases through June and does not list an archived July report. The agency’s Current Population Survey page displays a June unemployment rate of 4.2% and a labor-force participation rate of 61.5%. Its Current Employment Statistics program reports that payroll employment rose by 57,000 in June.

July’s payroll change, unemployment rate, labor-force participation rate, wage figures and revisions to earlier payroll estimates have not been established in the BLS pages that identify the schedule and latest results. The agency has not publicly identified a July outcome in those records, so June remains the latest displayed national employment data.

The BLS release calendar still lists the July Employment Situation for Aug. 7 at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. That scheduled publication is the next known step for the July employment, unemployment and earnings figures.
