Falcons’ 45-24 win puts them level with Carolina
Atlanta beat New Orleans 45-24 in the Week 4 Monday Night Football game at Caesars Superdome on Oct. 5, moving to 2-2 and into a tie with Carolina for first in the NFC South. The Saints fell to 1-3.
Bijan Robinson rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns, including a 59-yard score on Atlanta’s third play. Brian Robinson added 62 yards and three rushing touchdowns. Atlanta’s official net rushing total was 205 yards, including quarterback Michael Penix’s minus-2 yards.
The Saints’ recap said Atlanta led 24-7 at halftime. The game also coincided with celebrations marking the 20th anniversary of the Superdome’s reopening after Hurricane Katrina.
