Palm Coastโs 20% nonresident rate for applicable paid Parks and Recreation programs took effect Oct. 28, raising covered fees to 1.2 times the standard rate. For example, a $100 standard program fee would be $120 for a covered nonresident. The increase applies to covered paid programs, not every city service or fee.
The City says tax-paying people who live within city limits keep resident rates. A 100%-disabled veteran living within city limits also qualifies for the resident rate, even without paying city taxes.
Separate Southern Recreation Center changes effective Oct. 28 cover punch passes, daily admission, family daily passes and room rentals. The Cityโs notice lists those categories but not their revised prices, so users should check the price when registering or booking.
Beginning Nov. 1, center hours are 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays and 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekends. Weekend reservations outside regular hours may be accommodated, subject to availability and approval. Updated annual, monthly and limited-monthly pickleball, tennis and combination membership rates are scheduled for Dec. 1.
