Kyiv restores water supply and normal pressure after outage
Kyivโs water supply was fully restored and water-network pressure normalized later on Nov. 4, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said, according to Interfax-Ukraine and Radio Svoboda. NV also reported full restoration, citing a Kyivvodokanal Telegram update.
The later status followed the utilityโs 08:59 update, which described a partial recovery: water had returned on the left bank and in Obolonskyi district, while pressure remained reduced on the right bank. The updates describe successive stages of restoration, not competing accounts of the final status.
From a citywide interruption to full restoration
Kyivvodokanalโs notice at 15:24 on Nov. 3 said attacks and damage to energy infrastructure had cut power to its main water facilities and temporarily stopped water supply in the city. The utility said restoration work was continuing the next morning.
At 08:59 on Nov. 4, the utility reported that supply had returned in the two areas it named, but it did not describe the right bank as fully restored: pressure there remained reduced. It also said wastewater operations were normal. That morning report was an interim service update, rather than an all-clear for the whole network.
Later reports changed the practical picture for Kyiv residents: water supply was fully restored across the city and pressure had returned to normal. NV reported that all water and sewage pumping stations were operating normally. Interfax-Ukraine also reported that Kyivvodokanal would continue monitoring the water-supply and drainage systems.
Generator connections for kiosks were planned
As service was still being restored, the Sviatoshyn District State Administration announced that public water kiosks in areas without water were to be connected to generators starting at 08:00 on Nov. 4. The announcement described planned connections; it did not confirm that they were completed.
